.
🇬🇧 🎙 A new interview with me is out now on the Czech Radio show Bourání.
We talked about my work as an architect in tropical Indonesia, where I design buildings that function without air conditioning – relying instead on smart orientation, shading, and natural airflow.
Thanks to Bourání for the invitation and the chance to share my approach to sustainable architecture 🌿

Dear Friends, I would like to invite you to my lecture, which will be held on December 4th from 6:30 PM at Prostor18, Senovážné náměstí 18, Prague.

I will talk about how I, as an architect, design buildings in Indonesia – about the specifics of the local environment, access to materials, and how the design process differs from European practice.

It was a great honor for me to be part of the launch of the book Classical Art of India by Aleš Krejčí, published this month by Grada.

You can watch our entire debate on Japanese architecture here:

🏯 Co by kdyby japonská architektura ovládla svět?
Těším se na vás!

✨ Huge thanks for the invitation to the show What If! ✨
This Saturday, May 24th, 2025, we’ll meet at the Brno Exhibition Centre, where I’ll join Osamu Okamura to dive into a fascinating question:
🏯 What if Japanese architecture ruled the world?
Minimalism, connection to nature, ingenious use of space… Can Japanese aesthetics transform the way we live, build, and think about cities?
Come and listen to a debate that opens doors between continents and architectural worlds. 🌏🔍
Looking forward to seeing you there!

Díky mým dlouhodobým zkušenostem z působení v Asii mohu studentům předávat nejen teoretické znalosti, ale i praktické vhledy do tamního architektonického kontextu.

At the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, I teach and lead the course Architecture in Asia, where students and I explore the architecture of Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity. We also focus on the traditional architecture of India, Vietnam, Japan, Tibet, Mongolia, and Indonesia, analyzing the mutual influences between Asian and European architecture, particularly in the context of colonialism. Additionally, we examine modern and contemporary architecture in Asia.

Thanks to my long-term experience working in Asia, I can provide students not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical insights into the local architectural context.

Dear friends, I invite you to a lecture about my dream trip to Indonesia!
Come and discover how 🏛️ modern architecture connects with exotic culture and traditions. I will share with you inspiring stories from my designs and realization of projects in a tropical environment 🌺 as well as the challenges that this work brings. Finally, I will introduce the new subject Architecture in Asia, which I will teach at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University 📚 from the summer semester – and which will introduce you to the fascinating world of Asian architecture 🌏. I look forward to seeing you! 😊
